Welcome to Irving of Dalston Limited. We are a long-established, family-run coach hire company based just outside Dalston, near Carlisle. With more than 50 years of experience, we provide reliable and comfortable coach travel for a wide range of journeys and occasions.
Established in June 1971, the company began with just one 12-seater minibus. Originally known as George Irving, we operated from the family home, where the driveway was just large enough for two vehicles.
As the family grew and the business expanded, we moved to our current premises in Dalston and continued to build a reputation for dependable service and quality coach travel.
In January 2026, we became Irving of Dalston Limited.
As we look towards the future, the family business is now entering an exciting new chapter. Craig and Dawn, George's children, are taking over the reins of the business, continuing the family tradition that began back in 1971.
After more than 50 years at the heart of the business, George is gradually taking a step back and looking forward to slowing down, enjoying life and spending more time with his family.
With Craig and Dawn now leading the business, we remain committed to the values on which Irving of Dalston was founded — reliability, quality, personal service and looking after our customers.
We are proud of our history and excited about the future, and we look forward to continuing to serve our customers for many years to come.
Today, we operate a modern fleet of seven coaches, ranging from 48 to 70 seats, allowing us to cater for groups of all sizes.
